1. How to Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest and most secure way to delete your account and all associated data is directly inside the ScrollCheckpoint mobile application:

1. Open the ScrollCheckpoint app.
2. Navigate to the Settings page.
3. Tap on the Delete Account option.
4. Confirm the request on the prompt to instantly delete your credentials and profile records.

2. What Data is Permanently Deleted

When you delete your account, we trigger a cascade deletion from our database that permanently erases the following categories of data:

• Profile and Credentials: Your username, email address, password hashes, and user settings profile.
• Scroll Journal: All written journal entries, gratitude thoughts, and mindful reflection notes.
• Activity History: Your micro-pause statistics, countdown timers, and app usage logs.
• Configurations: Your custom alarm intervals, tracked app selections, and custom category options.

Once this process is complete, this data is gone forever and cannot be recovered.

3. What Data We May Retain

Some transactional and device-level records are stored separately for financial audit or security compliance:

• Subscription Transactions: Purchase records, invoice logs, and receipt keys handled via Google Play / Apple App Store (processed through RevenueCat) are retained to comply with international tax, bookkeeping, and banking regulations.
• Secured Backups: Encryption backups of our system may contain database state snapshots for up to 30 days before they are rotated out and permanently deleted.
